New Catalog! New In Colors! Oh My!

Hi Stampers!

I just got home from the May Fun Stampers Get Together at my awesome friend Oksana’s house.  Just 4  Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators getting together, ooooooing and aaaaaaaahing over the new catalog.

I can’t stop looking at this catalog.  Every time I look at it, I see something new that I must have.   Lol.  I can’t wait to get the baby bear.  That is my favorite.  I think Oksana thought I might sneak hers into my craft bag when I was leaving tonight.  Ha ha.

Oksana, had a fun project for us, using all of the gorgeous New In Colors.  Oh they are soooooo pretty   I love them all but, if you know me then you know the Flirty Flamingo is my absolute favorite.  Such a gorgeous pink.

So, I thought I’d share our project and new colors with you.   Are you ready?  Here they are.

Team Stamp It’s Father’s Day Blog Hop

fdbh

Hey Stampers!

Welcome to Team Stamp It’s Father’s Day Blog Hop!

I am so excited to see what all the Hoppers have created today.  How about you?

I have created a combo card/gift card holder.  I received a gift card, in a neat little holder, as a thank you and I thought, “I need to deconstruct this thing.”   lol!  I think I did a pretty good job.  I hope you like it!

I will have a complete project list at the bottom of this post.  Also, stop back by my blog next week and I will post a free template so you can make a card of your own.

FullSizeRender (9)

I used the retiring stamp set Going Global and the World Traveler Embossing Folder.

FullSizeRender__2_I chose the colors Pacific Point and Tip Top Taupe.  I also added 2015-2017 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack in Tip Top Taupe.  The World Stamp and world’s best dad were stamped in versa mark and embossed with Black Embossing Powder.  I used the 2″ circle punch for the world and the layer behind it.  Then I used the The Washi Tape punch for the sentiment.

FullSizeRender__5_

On the inside my gift card holder pops up and moves to the left as you open the card.  When closed the gift card holder folds back into the card.  It can still stand up, as a card, on it’s own.

FullSizeRender__6_

FullSizeRender__7_

I used a strip of the In color DSP again and stamped my sentiment on Whisper White card stock, in Pacific Point.  I punched it out with my 1″ circle punch.  I used my banner punch to make a little flag behind my sentiment.

FullSizeRender__4_When building my gift card holder I wanted it to be sturdy.  I knew I would be opening and closing it a lot.  So, I doubled my card stock before cutting out my template.  I just used my Multi Purpose Liquid Glue, and glued 2 pieces of card stock together.   I also used my glue to adhere my gift card holder to the inside of the card.  Once I had my card together I decided to glue another piece of card stock to the back of my card.  The front was very sturdy with it’s layers so I cut a piece at 5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″ and used my glue and added to the back.  This made the card really sturdy.

FullSizeRender (9)I really hope you have enjoyed my card today.  It was so fun to make.  Remember to come back to my blog next week for the free template to make your own.

April Class and Retiring Products

Hey Stampers!

Well, I had a class at my house on Wednesday.  We made cards using retiring product.   I wanted to show my girls some pretties that are going away.  We had a great time making these cards.   I hope you like them.  A product list for each card will be at the bottom of this post

Enjoy!

This card was inspired by a card by demonstrator Tami White

We used the gorgeous Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper.  We colored the rose with Blushing Bride Stamp and Write Marker.  After it dried we cover what we colored with Wink of Stella in clear.

I cased this card from Demonstrator Kelly Acheson.   I switched it up a bit using Watermelon Wonder and In Colors Designer Series Paper Stack.  This was so simple but was a crowd favorite.

This card was inspired by a card by demonstrator Mary Brown.  This card took a little time but it was fun to see the girls put their own creative ideas into theirs.  We used A Nice Cuppa Stamp set with framelits (which are sadly already sold out).  We also used the Grateful Bunch Bundle.  These two stamp sets worked beautifully together.

Our last but certainly not least card is my favorite one.  My BFF Kristen Ann Lee wanted to share her awesome galaxy technique at the class.  I showed her the retiring stamp sets I wanted to use and she sketched this right out.  I fell in love.  This uses A Beautiful Ride stamp set along with Going Global, Gorgeous Grunge and Timeless Textures.

I hope you enjoyed these cards and get some inspiration today.  Below I have listed all of the products for each card.

Happy Stamping

Team Stamp it Mother’s Day Blog Hop

imageHello Stampers!

Welcome to the Stamp It Group Mother’s Day Blog Hop!

You are probably arriving here from my awesome friend Oksana’s Blog.  If not and you are starting here, no worries, just use the Blog Hoppers Links at the bottom of this post to navigate to the blogs.

Mother’s Day is always a little sad for me every year.  I lost my wonderful Mother in 2011.  She was an amazing feisty southern lady.  I still miss her so much.  While I miss my Mom on Mother’s Day I am very very fortunate to have an awesome Mother in law who treats me just like a daughter.  So, I look forward to showering her with my handmade gifts.

For my Mother’s Day Project, I have a card and a matching Square Pillow Box.  I’m sure I can find something pretty to fit in this pretty box to give to my Mother in law.  I think she will love it.

I used the Circle of Spring Stamp set for both my card and my pillow box.  I just love this set.  It is so pretty.

I wanted my wreath to have a softer look so I stamped it with my Pear Pizzazz ink pad rather than Black.  I really love how it came out.  I colored the flowers and leaves using my Stampin’ Write Markers in Blushing Bride, Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive.  The wreath is cut out using the Wonderful Wreath Framlits then I centered the wreath on top of Whisper White card stock.  Happy Mother’s Day is stamped in the center of the wreath with Black Memento Ink.   I popped my wreath up with Dimensionals and added Basic Pearl Jewels.  I added a strip of Subtles Designer Series Paper and layered Blushing Bride Cotton Ribbon on top.  The card is finished off with a layer of Melon Mambo card stock on top of a Blushing Bride card base.

mdbh2.jpg

I pretty much copied my card on top of my Square Pillow Box.  The front of the box is Blushing Bride and the back is Mellon Mambo.  I used Tear and Tape adhesive to put this box together to make sure it had a strong hold.

I have a complete supply list at the bottom of this post.  I hope you have enjoyed my projects today.   Please continue through all the blogs.  I know you won’t be disappointed.    Happy Mother’s Day!
